I teach both American Red Cross CPR and American heart Association CPR. The biggest issue with the two is how to perform live saving moves for a choking victim.
The Red cross version starts with 5 back blows. The AHA version stays to just do abdominal thrusts. I dont agree with the Red Cross version but I have to teach it. That being the case, The inventor of the Heimlich Maneuver has officially said that his research proves that the back blows that the red cross teaches is wrong.
